*****This opportunity is restricted to contractors currently included on Interior Health’s applicable Pre-Qualified Contractors List. Submissions from contractors who are not pre-qualified will not be considered.**** PROJECT INFORMATION 1. East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) current Building Management System (BMS) uses a mix of outdated pneumatic controls and modern electronic controls to manage heating and cooling functions. Pneumatic controls, which rely on compressed air to transmit signals through a network of tubing, have become increasingly obsolete and difficult to maintain. Over the past 15+ years, portions of the system have been upgraded to electronic controls during scheduled replacements of heating and cooling units. Some of the remaining pneumatic equipment still in use dates back as far as 1969, contributing to ongoing maintenance challenges and limitations in energy management efficiency. This project involves the full replacement and upgrade of the remaining pneumatic control systems with modern Direct Digital Controls (DDC) across multiple areas of the facility. The scope includes supply, installation, programming, and commissioning of new DDC hardware and components, as well as integration with the existing BMS. Note: Please note that the Hazmat Assessment Report will be issued through an addendum when it becomes available. For the purposes of this procurement process, all enquiries must be made via Bids & Tenders.
