PROJECT INFORMATION 1. This project replaces the existing Edwards fire alarm systems in the Castlegar & District Community Health Centre (CDH) and Talarico Place (TRP) buildings with a new addressable voice-over system. The upgrade includes demolition, procurement and installation of main control panels, addressable detection and notification devices, and integration with existing Building Management System (BMS), security, HVAC, sprinkler, and fire door systems. Work will comply with local codes and infection control protocols, minimizing disruption. The existing system will remain operational until successful commissioning. Contractors should ensure that all items integrating with the mechanical system are being checked and monitored to not have system shutdown for any set of period. Contractors must implement a fire watch program during any system downtime associated with the switchover. Additionally, contractors shall ensure all components integrated with the mechanical system are checked and monitored to ensure no shutdowns for any set of period. Comprehensive training and documentation will be provided to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the new fire alarm system. 2. The estimated construction budget for the Project is $1,200,000.00 3. The Contractor is required to specify the number of weeks needed to achieve the substantial completion. |
