PROJECT INFORMATION 1. Project Description: Sunnybank Retirement Centre is a long-term care facility with 51 beds located in Oliver, BC. The main hot water recirculation line has been failing for some time and periodically develops pinhole leaks that soak through the ceiling and into rooms below. This is a risk to people living within these facilities and can potentially cause major damage and mold growth. The water lines being replaced were installed in 1984. 2. Scope of Work: This project will replace all domestic water lines, including hot water recirculation lines and domestic hot and cold-water lines at Sunnybank Retirement Centre in Oliver. Phasing identified in the drawings is indicative only and not intended to be chronological. Site is requesting 2 weeks between mobilizations in resident wings to facilitate patient relocation. Other areas can be mobilized in between this period so that the contractor doesn’t have to de- and re-mobilize. All work that will result in an “impact” will require a sequencing plan for the work (see “Shutdown Sequencing Plan Template” as an example), site impact notice, and infection control plans (if applicable) prior to commencing. All work must limit impact to operations, and in some circumstances, may occur outside of regular working hours. Contractor is responsible for all abatement work as noted in pre-renovation hazardous materials survey. Cash allowance is noted only for hazardous materials not identified on the report. 3. Substantial Completion date: Contractor to state number of weeks. For the purposes of this procurement process, all enquiries must be made via Bids & Tenders.
