| Description: |
KBH MRI located at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC, will consist of replacement of the existing mobile MRI scanner with a new, permanent 1.5 Tesla (T) MRI scanner and the construction of a ground floor building expansion with basement, located adjacent to the north end of the existing Medical Imaging (MI) department. The expansion (including renovation of the existing space) houses the required MRI and associated support services program areas. The program areas are to meet DAP zoning requirements, IPAC requirements, and Canadian Standard Association (CSA) standards. Future-proof planning is to account for the expansion of future CT as defined in Phase 2 of the attached Schematic Design Report. The Services are expected to commence by September 2024 with construction estimated to complete by March 2028. The Project Delivery method of this Project will be Design-Bid-Build (CCDC 2 2020). Construction Budget is estimated $18,000,000 (Order of Magnitude). For the purposes of this procurement process, all enquiries must be made via Bids & Tenders. |
